TOV Knauf Insulation Ukraine held public hearings in Fastiv on 24 July 2008 where the population supported the project of construction of the mineral wool insulation manufacturing plant. It has become a considerable step towards obtaining a construction permit.  

On 24 July 2008 there was the public discussion (hearings) of Fastiv inhabitants on the project of the construction of a mineral wool thermal insulation plant by Knauf Insulation Ukraine and the statement on the environmental consequences. Few hundreds of Fastivites took part in the event. Overwhelming majority of the present Fastiv inhabitants supported the project of the plant construction and approved the statement on the environmental consequences.  

Such decision brought Knauf Insulation considerably closer to obtaining a construction permit.  

The company continues supporting the development of the town of Fastiv, investing funds into local social projects, engaging into dialogue with the town authorities and inhabitants. Knauf Insulation Ukraine plans to implement the project on construction of a mineral wool thermal insulation plant in the industrial zone Zavokzallya of Fastiv. The amount of planned investments exceeds EUR 100 million.
