Knauf Insulation FRE

Description

Knauf Insulation FRE slab is made of the mineral wool bound with synthetic resin with the water-agent applied across the entire cross-section.

Application

Knauf Insulation FRE slab is used for the thermal, acoustic and fire insulation in three-layered walls. This slab can also be used as the internal layer in thermal insulation of the external walls with the ventilated air gaps in case of the two-layered insulation. The ambient air design temperature spans from -70 to +60 оС.

Knauf Insulation FRE:

• has low thermal conductivity: excellent insulation properties;

• is incombustible, which improves the passive safety of the building;

• has diffusion features (it is air and vapour-permeable);

• its acoustic properties allow attaining high values of the structure sound suppression factor;

• is biologically stable (in case of correct application it maintains its insulation properties);

• it is micro-organism and rodent-resistant;

• is chemically neutral: it does not increase the corrosivity in case of the direct contact with metal;

• its volume and shape remain stable in case of temperature changes;

• it is easily processed to any size by sawing or cutting;

• it is not saturable - permeated with the water repelling agent across its entire cross section;

• it requires protection against the atmospheric impact in the course of the transportation, storage and installation.
