Description

Nobasil FRK slab is made of mineral wool on a synthetic binding agent with the enhanced application of the water repellent additive across the entire cross section; these slabs are additionally matted with the white or black glass-fibre mat.

Application

Nobasil FRK slabs are provided with the glass-fibre mat to protect the fibres from the air flow weathering. It is used as the thermal insulation of ventilation ducts. It can be used as the single-layered thermal insulation, as well as the top (outer) layer of two-layered thermal insulation structures in façade systems with the air gap.
Nobasil FRK slab with the Al surface is coated with the reflective aluminium foil that protects the windward side  slab and, at the same time, acts as a reflective layer. It also provides protection against conglomeration.

Nobasil FRK:

• has low thermal conductivity: excellent insulation parameters;
• its acoustic features allow attaining high values of the structure sound suppression factor;
• it has low parameters of the diffusion resistance coefficient;
• is biologically stable (it maintains its insulation features in case of the correct application);
• it is microorganism and rodent-resistant;
• its chemically neutral and does not react with surrounding materials;
• it is distinguished by the high stability of its volume and shape in case of the temperature changes;
• it can be easily processed to any size;
• it is not saturable and is permeated with the water repelling agent across its entire cross section;
• it requires protection against the atmospheric impact in the course of the transportation, warehousing and installation.
